I would like to thank everyone for their
dedication and time spent on making sure that each person/pilgrim
that went on a walk and/or went to a gathering this year
felt welcome and blessed by God.
With 2004 nearly over we have to start thinking about and
planning for 2005. The next section of the newsletter is
reminding all of you about the next 2 Walks that will be
here before we know it. In preparation for these walks we
do ask for you to keep in mind and pray for Dennis Lyons
and June Leadbetter for wisdom and guidance in building
the team, for those who will accept the call to serve God
on the team, allocation of roles and talks, team training,
and general understanding and discernment in fulfilling
this leadership task.
Attached along with the Newsletter is the Application Form
to attend an Emmaus Walk. It is a PDF file so you will need
Acrobat Reader to open it. If anyone has a problem with
it just let me know and I will send it to you in a different
format.
As mentioned in the last newsletter Brain Jago - Spiritual
Director will be going to Fiji in December this year. We
do ask that you pray for Brian and all the people involved
in Fiji Emmaus and that the meeting on the 9th December
in Suva will go well.
We also ask that you keep in your prayers for the preparation
of community activities in 2005: Walks, Gatherings, Board
meetings, Team selection committee, reunion groups, sponsorship
and Growing in Christ within the community, relationships
with adjoining communities and shared activities.
That's it for this year, our 2nd and Final Newsletter for
2004.
Hope to see and hear from all of you in the New Year.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
Belinda
(PS. Don't forget that you can help at the walks by helping
